India is set to deliver the first set of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles to the Philippines as part of the USD 375 million deal between the two sides signed in 2022.

Earlier in the day, EAM Jaishankar, who is on an official visit to Manila, held a 'warm and productive' meeting with Philippines Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Enrique Manalo and discussed wide-ranging issues of security and maritime cooperation.
Jaishankar noted that the bilateral trade between the two nations crossed the USD 3 billion level in 2023 and expressed confidence that it will continue to grow.
