"We have issued a heatwave alert for today for south Haryana, Delhi, south UP, north MP, Jharkhand, Bihar and Bengal. Tomorrow, a heatwave alert is not given for any place other than Jharkhand," said Soma Sen Roy while talking to ANI.

Heatwave conditions are likely over some pockets of Delhi, West Rajasthan, Haryana, South West Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidharbha, Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat on Saturday, according to India Meteorological Department.
Cyclone Mocha intensified into a "very severe" cyclonic storm today over the Central and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal and moved nearly north-northeastwards, officials said on Friday.
"#CycloneMocha will convert into a severe storm on May 12 & a very severe cyclone on May 14, as per the predictions," said Gurminder Singh, Commandant, 2nd Battalion, NDRF.
