Greece's Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, arrives in New Delhi today for a State Visit to India, aimed at strengthening the Strategic Partnership between the two nations.
They engaged in a comprehensive discussion, addressing key issues such as institutional linkages between their respective National Security Councils. Emphasising global and regional security, the dialogue encompassed cooperative efforts in the global commons of cyber, space, and seas.
He stated that Greece offers a lot of opportunities for Indians to come and invest in Greece and added that Greek cities like Athens and Thessaloniki can become next Dubai for Indians in the future.
The meeting focused on exploring avenues for stronger collaboration between India and Greece, with a particular emphasis on leveraging the invaluable contributions of the Indian diaspora.
The discussion revolved around various avenues to broaden cooperation across diverse sectors, aimed at strengthening the ever-growing partnership between India and Greece.
PM Narendra Modi said, "Today, I express my sympathies to the people of Greece. When the forest fires started here, it became a major crisis. Several people in Greece died. In this hour of crisis, India stands with the people of Greece."
