The visit of Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel to India from April 3- 5 will further strengthen the close bilateral partnership, including economic and development cooperation between the two nations.
The visit of the King of Bhutan is in keeping with the long-standing tradition of regular high-level exchanges between the two countries and during his visit, he will meet President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi.
The festival, which showcases the rich cultural and religious heritage of the region, draws pilgrims from both India and Bhutan. The three-day festival started on March 18 and ended on Tuesday.
The data from the India-Bhutan satellite will be beneficial for people of Bhutan and it will be used for assessing inland water quality, forest & biomass cover, snow and glacier cover, Bhutan's geology and hydrology, according to Bhutan Embassy in India.
As per the Memorandum of Understanding signed between India and Bhutan, the officers were selected while they are with the Bhutan government and would receive training as Indian Revenue Officers.
The Government of India has allocated Rs 2,400 crore for Bhutan, a slight increase compared to last year of Rs 2,266 crore. It received the largest share of the amount that the Budget allocated for the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) under "Grants and Loans to Foreign Governments".
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met Bhutan National Assembly speaker Wangchuk Namgyel in Delhi on Tuesday and discussed stronger economic cooperation between the nations as well as priorities of youth.
