Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai on Monday extended support with 'full strength' to its INDIA bloc partner Samajwadi Party for the upcoming by-election in the Milkipur constituency.
"I was also present in the meeting of INDIA alliance where Nitish Kumar kept raising the issue of caste census in every meeting... Rahul Gandhi remained silent on it," Jha told reporters.
"Alliance, party, and leaders, why are we concerned about the future of all these? Our concern should be what will be the future of children and if they will get a good education or not," Sisodia told ANI.
Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad has exuded confidence in winning the Milkipur by-elections saying that support from party workers along with party workers of Congress will help in getting victory.
As the contest between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party in the Delhi Assembly election has raised questions about the divide within the INDIA bloc, Congress leader Salman Khurshid on Tuesday said that the alliance will stay intact.
Speaking to the media here at a press conference, Sharad Pawar said, "There has never been any discussion on state and local elections in INDIA alliance. INDIA alliance is only focused on national-level elections."
He further stated that the INDIA bloc is "strong" but the parties take their own stands in different state elections, adding that the people will make the final decision.

Amid speculation of internal discord within the INDIA alliance, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said on Monday that, in the coming days, if the INDIA alliance has to be saved and strengthened, dialogue between alliance partners is necessary.
"INDIA alliance is intact. INDIA alliance was formed to gather the regional parties against the BJP. Samajwadi party is still on the path to strengthening the INDIA alliance. It stands with the parties that are fighting against the BJP," Yadav said during a press conference in Lucknow.
