Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) Dushyant Chautala criticised Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini after three independent legislators withdrew their support, saying that they have never faced such a situation during Manohar Lal Khattar's tenure.
Amid the political crisis in Haryana, Chief Minister Nayab Saini said that three independent MLAs, who withdrew their support to the BJP government, are good people, but they are stuck while recalling a recent meeting with them.
After three independent legislators withdrew their support from the Nayab Singh Saini-led BJP government in Haryana, one of the independent MLAs Dhharampal Gonder declared that he will extend support to Congress from outside.
"Three independent MLAs who had supported BJP government in the state have withdrawn their support today and have decided to support Congress. They have taken this decision as per public sentiment which is against the state government," Hooda said speaking to ANI on Tuesday.
"Three independent MLAs extending their support to Congress won't impact the Haryana government. Today also Haryana government has a majority and is safe. If you see the numbers, the government has the support of 47 MLAs and because of this, the govt is safe," he said.
Congress on Tuesday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party government in Haryana has lost the majority as three Independent MLAs announced the withdrawal of their support to the Nayab Singh Saini-led government in the state.
Himachal Pradesh Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania on Wednesday said that the three Independent MLAs who resigned earlier now fall under the preview of the "Anti-Defection Law."
Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, citing Supreme Court verdicts, has written to the Speaker of the HP Assembly, urging the acceptance of the resignations of three Independent Legislators, Hoshiyar Singh, KL Thakur and Ashish Sharma.
