PM Modi’s address from the ramparts will be his 10th Independence Day speech. The speeches over the years have reflected the goals and progress made by the country in various spheres.
Around 1,800 people from different vocations, with their spouses, have been invited from across the country to be a part of the celebrations at Red Fort as special guests. The initiative has been taken in line with the government’s vision of ‘Jan Bhagidari’.
Ahead of the 77th Independence Day, US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti met Khadi & Village Industries Commission advisor and renowned designer Ritu Beri and discussed the importance of Khadi and its connection to India’s freedom movement.
