AIADMK leader Sellur Raju has slammed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin for not visiting Kallakurichi hooch tragedy victims and reiterated his party's demand for a CBI investigation into the incident.

A petition was filed in the Supreme Court on Wednesday seeking direction to appoint a five-member expert committee under the supervision of a retired top Court judge to enquire into the Hathras stampede incident where more than 100 people were killed on July 2.

The death toll in the stampede incident which occurred in the Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday has gone up to 121. Around 28 people have sustained injuries in the incident, the Office of Relief Commissioner said on Wednesday.
