CM also apprised PM Modi about the efforts of the State Government in dousing the fire and the help received from various departments of the Central Government (Army, Air Force, BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited), CISF (Central Industrial Security Force), Airport and others).
"The incident took place on Monday and was reported at 5:28 pm in which 6 people drowned in the sea at Juhu Beach. Out of 6 people, 2 were rescued by public members and 4 people are still missing," Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said.
According to CMO, the Defense Minister has directed the Air Force and following his instructions, AN 32 aircraft and MI 15 helicopter will reach Bhopal tonight.
During the fire one cylinder blast is also reported, however, no casualties were reported. Following the information firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
CM Chouhan is also continuously monitoring the extinguishing of fire at the building. Initially, the fire broke out at the third floor of the building where there is a tribal department office but later it spread up to the sixth floor of the building.
Pictures of the incident are now doing rounds on social media. The traffic was severely hit following the incident and the daily commuters were stranded in the middle of the road in the scorching heat.
A massive fire, which broke out at Satpura Bhawan located in the state capital, has now spread from the third floor to sixth floor of the building, an official said.
"Following the incident police and forest officials rushed to the area and recovered the bodies. The bodies are under the custody of Boko police for sending to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem," Dimpi Bora said.
The incident took place around 6 pm on Sunday evening. All three deceased belong to Birgaon village. They went to the 'Blue Water' lake to take bathe. While bathing, the youths went deeper due to which they drowned, police said.
The incident took place when devotees tried to gain entry into Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj's temple in Alandi, during a ceremonial procession on Sunday morning.
