The Supreme Court has issued a notice to Uttar Pradesh Government on a plea challenging Allahabad High Court order rejecting to give direction for a CBI probe into an incident of alleged custodial death in the state
The youth who died was identified as Nitin Ahirwar (18), a resident of Barodiya Nainagir villager in Sagar district. The incident occurred under Khurai police station in the district on Thursday.
"Nine people died in the train accident. We have identified six of them. A case has been registered in this regard. Illegal LPG was brought on the train. I hope the Railway Department will take steps to prevent such incidents in the future," he said.
