Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief and MP Akhilesh Yadav hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state following the collapse of an under-construction lintel at Kannauj railway station on Saturday and called for maximum assistance to the victims.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has said that assistance is being provided to people who were injured in the collapse of the under-construction lintel at Kannauj railway station.
The incident occurred in the Halka area under the jurisdiction of Gudamalani Police Station. The victim, identified as Shravan Kumar, was allegedly assaulted by his neighbour, Isharam.
Speaking on the incident, Union Minister and BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar said that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee "doesn't care" about the lives of the common man.
