After Punjab, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided not to conduct polls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, shifting them to October, Geo News reported local media reports.
In his intervention Fazal-ur-Rehman Afridi said, "We would like to turn the council's attention towards a deteriorating security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Pakistan having grave implications for the basic fundamental rights and lives of Pashtun ethnic minority."
At least 9 people were killed and over 150 injured in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after an earthquake of magnitude 6.8 jolted several parts of Pakistan on Tuesday night, Geo News reported citing the authorities.
Lakki Marwat deputy commissioner Abdul Hadi and Bannu deputy commissioner Manzoor Afridi on Saturday imposed a ban on the assembly of more than five people in their respective districts for five days, Dawn reported.

The remarks by Pashteen came while he was addressing a gathering in Kabal tehsil in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Swat district on Monday. The gathering was organised to welcome Member of National Assembly (MNA) Ali Wazir, a PTM leader, after his release from prison.
The incidents came amid a surge in terrorist activities across the country, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, since the TTP ended its ceasefire with the government in November.

After the formation of the caretaker government, the health department refused to provide financial resources due to which doctors and other staff could not be paid.
Police and rescue officials reached the site after they were informed about the incident. The police shifted the injured and the bodies to the hospital.
According to the Gilgit-Baltistan's Diamer Superintendent of Police (SP) Sher Khan, their team pulled out 25 bodies from the vehicles, while 15 injured have been shifted to a hospital in Chilas. The bus was traveling from Gilgit to Rawalpindi on the Karakoram Highway.
