The joint investigation team was reconstituted after four members of the team levelled allegations against the team's head Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar.
Khan said the SKMT board of directors had informed him about investing the funds worth USD 3 million in a private housing project. He, however, clarified that the amount was later returned to the trust.
"General Bajwa changed after the extension and compromised with the Sharif. He decided, at that time, to give them the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO)," former Pakistan's PM Imran Khan said in an interview
Khan is currently facing criminal charges in the Toshakana case after Pakistan's Election Commission disqualified him from the NA-95 (Mianwali-1) constituency for allegedly filing incorrect statements of assets.
The PTI lawmakers had resigned from the lower house of the parliament after PTI chief Imran Khan's ouster in April 2022 but the National Assembly Speaker had accepted only 11 of the resignations then.
Pakistan Former Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, as the outgoing army chief of Pakistan had committed to keeping the force away from politics. However, his successor General Asim Munir is doing quite the opposite, Policy Research Group (Poreg) reported.
Khan said that he has no links with the current Pakistan army chief, General Syed Asim Munir and claimed that the general elections will take place in April 2023.
