This letter came in the wake of the assassination attempt on Imran Khan's life shot during his long march in Punjab Province's Wazirabad on Thursday. He has since held both the coalition government and military establishment responsible for the attack.

The Islamabad Police on Monday warned that action will be taken against those who protest in the capital without the permission of the administration, Geo News reported.

Calling Nawaz Sharif a 'mastermind' behind the assassination attempt on the PTI chief, the complaint by the overseas Pakistanis read, "the assassination attempt on Imran Khan was planned in London."
"A new drama was plotted. When the news first came, we were worried and expressed sympathy. But now we've realised that (Imran Khan) has left Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan behind in acting," Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Rehman was quoted as saying by Geo News.
