A Special Court on Thursday imposed a fine of ten thousand on SP National General Secretary Azam Khan, his MLA son Abdullah and his wife former MP Dr Tazin Fatma.
It said, "We are left with no doubt that such matters are filed in a cursory manner to somehow seek certification of dismissal by the Supreme Court. We thoroughly disapprove of such a practice and feel necessary to impose costs on the petitioners."
The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a plea filed by a person seeking Rs 75 lakh compensation from YouTube for allegedly carrying sexually explicit advertisements which distracted him during the preparation for the Madhya Pradesh Police exam.
The penalty was slapped on the non-adherence, violation of directions issued under exposure norms and statutory or other restrictions - urban cooperative banks, the central bank said.
The central bank said this penalty had been imposed in exercise of powers vested in RBI conferred under Banking Regulation Act, 1949, according to a statement of the central bank released on Monday.
