The MeT has issued a warning of severe cold conditions over the next few days in north Rajasthan, and till Monday in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh.
The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be no snowfall during Christmas in the tourist destinations of Himachal Pradesh, which came as a huge disappointment for the visitors who arrived in the capital city to witness the picturesque view of the snowfall.

Parts of North India including the national capital witnessed cold wave conditions with dense to very dense fog observed over Punjab, Haryana, northwest Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar for the second morning on the trot on Friday morning, the forecast department said.
Dr Kuldeep Srivastava, Head of Regional Weather Forecasting Centre said on Thursday that Delhi-NCR is likely to witness dense fog for the next two to three days while Punjab, Haryana, and North Rajasthan may expect a decrease in temperature by 1-2 degrees alongwith cold wave conditions.

A dense layer of fog from Punjab and Northwest Rajasthan to East Uttar Pradesh across Haryana continued on Thursday morning, as predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
According to IMD, the lowest visibility was reported on Tuesday till 5:30 am from areas Bathinda (00m), Amritsar, Ganganagar, Patiala, Delhi (Palam) and Lucknow (25m), Delhi and Purnea (50m), Ambala and Agra (200m), Gorakhpur (300m), Bareilly, Patna, Gaya and Kolkata (500m).
