The India Meteorological Department (IMD) posted that moderate to intense rainfall over parts of Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas for a few hours today and advised people to avoid routes facing water logging problems.

The monsoon is delayed by nearly a week in Himachal Pradesh. According to the Indian Metrological Department, the monsoon is expected to approach by the end of the month nearing June 28, a few days later than the normal date, which is June 22.
"Heatwave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Odisha on June 3," said the weather bulletin.
Taking to the microblogging site X, Atishi posted, "Delhiites are troubled by this severe heatwave and water shortage. This is not the time to do dirty politics but to face this crisis together. If the BJP wants to give relief to the people of Delhi, then ask your Haryana and UP governments
The India Meteorological Department said on Wednesday that the heatwave to severe heatwave conditions prevailing over Northwest and Central India are likely to reduce gradually from May 30.
"The Cyclonic Storm 'Remal' over Coastal Bangladesh and adjoining Coastal West Bengal moved nearly northwards, with a speed of 15 kmph during the past 6 hours and lay centered at 08:30 hrs IST of today over the same region," IMD posted on X.
Heavy rainfall lashed Vijayawada district on Saturday causing waterlogging in some areas and making it difficult for commuters to go about their daily lives.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) highlighted that the "Deep Depression" over the East-central Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm by this evening (Saturday).
