The South West district of Delhi Police has apprehended a Bangladeshi national residing illegally in the city and facilitated his deportation to Bangladesh through the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO).
The Delhi Police on Sunday arrested two Bangladeshi nationals, Atifa and Asma, both 24, who had been living in India illegally for years in the East District. They were found to be residing in Delhi without valid documents or permits.
The police in Mumbai have arrested 17 Bangladeshi nationals for living illegally in India after they failed to provide proof of Indian citizenship. The arrests were made by Shivajinagar and RCF police, who are now conducting further investigations.

Mumbai's Versova police arrested two Bangladeshi citizens for illegally entering India and residing in Mumbai, officials said on Friday. Fake documents were also recovered from them.
According to Thane police, the couple, identified as Sabuj Sanowar Shaikh and Bishti Sabuj Sheikh, crossed the Indo-Bangladesh border illegally. They were arrested during a raid by police in the area on Thursday.
