The Madhya Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested a 33-year-old man for allegedly being involved in interstate illegal arms trade on Monday, and recovered two country-made pistols with magazines and hundreds of barrels from his possession.
The Madhya Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Thursday claimed to have confiscated 360 barrels used in making pistols from Gujarat's Surat, along with the arrest of three persons for their alleged involvement in the illegal arms trade.
"The danger of terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, and illegal arms trade spreading from Afghanistan remains a direct threat to the southern borders of the CSTO's area of responsibility," said Secretary General of the CSTO.
