As an outcome of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar’s visit to IIT Guwahati earlier this month, the Institute has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), India’s premier and oldest think tank on foreign policy and international affairs.
In a major relief to knee osteoarthritis patients, researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, have developed a Deep Learning (DL)-based framework, namely Osteo HRNet, that automatically assesses the Knee Osteoarthritis (OA) severity from X-rays images.
He also urged them to be the master of their destiny by creating their own enterprise and thereby opening job opportunities for many in different domains.
Addressing the 25th convocation of IIT Guwahati vice President Dhankar stressed that Directive Principles of State Policy (DPSP) are 'fundamental in the governance of the country' and it's the duty of the State to make them into rules.
The Vice President, Jagdeep Dhankhar, will visit Assam on July 4 to address the 25th convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati as the Chief Guest.
The Institute has achieved rank 364 in the world in the overall ranking and ranked 7 in India. With this, the Institute has improved its global rank by 20 places and its Indian rank by 1 place.
The program is intended for the innovator students, teachers, and faculty members of higher education institutes and schools to get intense experiential training on design thinking, product design, ergonomics, business modelling, and enterprise planning.
According to the official statement released, Rakesh Shukla, Zonal Director, NCB, Kolkata delivered the keynote speech during the programme.
"About 40 students and faculty members participated in the said programme," it said.
