After two terrorists were killed in the Anantnag encounter by the security forces, Brigadier Anirudh Chauhan, Commander 2 Sector RR of the Indian Army said that Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and People's Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF) have received a major setback with their neutralisation.
A top Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) commander was killed during an operation with the security forces in Srinagar. Four jawans were also injured during the encounter which came to end on Saturday evening, IGP Birdi said earier in the day.

Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone V K Birdi took stock of the arrangements for the peaceful conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra (SANJY-2024) during a meeting held at the Conference Hall of Police Control Room Kashmir, IGP Kashmir said in a press release.
"It is a multi-tier security. As per the security protocols, the high-alert security arrangement has been made here," IGP Kashmir Zone Vidhi Kumar Birdi told ANI on Wednesday.
The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY)-2024) is scheduled to begin on June 29 from the twin routes of Baltal in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district and Pahalgam in south Kashmir.
