Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday honoured the architects and sculptors involved in the construction of Gorakhnath temple and creating deity idols.
"As per instructions by Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and directions of the Supreme Court, BMC has declared that from this year onwards, Environment-friendly Lord Ganesh idols will be compulsory for household Ganeshotsav," an official statement said.
Preparations are underway in Odisha's Puri for the construction of three wooden chariots ahead of the world-famous Jagannath Rath Yatra. Carpenters and sculptors are seen making these chariots that carry the idols of deities Lord Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra.
