The parade took place in Kim Il Sung Square and showcased two major weapons the Hwasong-11Ma hypersonic missile and the Hwasong-20 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), which North Korean state media described as the country's "most powerful nuclear weapons."
Vietnam's top leader, To Lam, will also pay a State visit to North Korea at the invitation of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to attend the celebrations. Laos' President Thongloun Sisoulith and Chairman of United Russia Party, Dmitry Medvedev has also been invited for the event.
