In the Jaranwala blasphemy incident, the damages suffered due to the burning of churches and the houses of minorities has been estimated to be Pakistani Rupees (PKR) 67 million, reported Dawn.

Human Rights Focus Pakistan (HRFP) has issued a fact-finding report on the Jaranwala incident and revealed that 19 Churches have been burnt fully and 89 Christian houses were burnt.
The attack on Jamil Masih aged 58 and his family took place in village Chak 269 of district Toba Tek Singh on May 2, Human Rights Focus Pakistan (HRFP) said in the press release. At the time of the attack, Jamil Masih was at the workplace doing labourer work.
Both were charged with blasphemy under 295B of PPC for allegedly burning the papers containing Quranic verses on April 15 in a school where Musarrat Bibi was working as a peon and Muhammad Sarmad was working as a gardener, HRFP said in the press release.
It is alleged that the two burned pages of the Quran in the school where Musarrat Bibi was working as a peon and Muhammad Sarmad was working as a gardener.
