The Patiala House Court of Delhi on Thursday sent Newsclick's Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Prabir Purkayastha, and HR head, Amit Chakravarty, to judicial custody for 30 days.
Notably, both were arrested recently by Delhi Police in a case filed under the anti-terror law UAPA following allegations that News Portal NewsClick received huge money for pro-China propaganda.
Purkayastha and Chakravarty were today produced in court after the end of their Judicial custody period. The pair were earlier granted 10 days and 5 days Judicial custody by the same court.

A bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra asked senior advocate Kapil Sibal, representing the petitioners, to circulate the papers of the case and it would take a call on listing the matter.
