In a post on X, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs posted, "The Home Secretary reviewed the situation in the wake of hoax emails received by some schools in Delhi last week. He stressed the need to prepare detailed protocols and SOPs to handle any such situation in the future.

After recent hoax bomb threats that targeted over 250 schools in the Delhi-NCR region, security forces have intensified their preparedness through a series of mock drills across various key locations in the city, including schools, airports, metro stations, and government buildings, said
"We have received more than 80 calls in Delhi only. There were calls about bomb threats, and we responded to all the calls and sent fire tenders to all the locations. But some schools have started sending their vehicles back. I believe all these calls are likely to turn out to be hoaxes,"
After over 60 schools across Delhi-NCR received a bomb threat via email on Wednesday morning, setting off panic among parents and faculty and prompting frenetic searches, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued an official statement saying that the email appeared to be a 'hoax'.
Sharing details, the Mumbai police said, "A female employee working at Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Terminal-1 received a call from an unknown number about the bomb threat."
The Delhi High Court recently sought a detailed status report from the Delhi government on a hoax bomb call incident in private schools. The High Court has also warned that if the status report is not filed, the joint secretary-level officer will be present in court.
According to official, the hoax call of bomb threat was received at the airport at around 5.15 am regarding a flight from Delhi to Kolkata which was scheduled to depart from IGI Airport.
Sharing details about the incident, police said, "We received a PCR call at the IGI airport police station on January 28 at 5:11 p.m. wherein the caller said that he would blast the IGI airport."
A man was arrested on Sunday over a hoax phone call to a police control room, allegedly claiming that explosives had been placed at a bank in Nagpur, officers said.
