The Global South states were described as "regional," "willing," and "like-minded" partners with whom the G7 will work to realise a free and open Indo-Pacific, strengthen the international order based on the rule of law, and oppose economic coercion.

United States President Joe Biden, on Saturday, said that all democratic nations can deliver opportunities and prosperity to strengthen infrastructure in low-middle-income countries.
"Quad will continue to make efforts towards global good, welfare of the people, prosperity and peace," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in the opening remarks of the Quad meeting held on the sidelines of a Group of Seven Summit (G-7) meeting in the Japanese city of Hiroshima.
This is the first meeting between the two leaders since the Russia-Ukraine conflict that began last year on February 24. "India and I will do whatever we can for the resolution of conflict," said PM Modi.
