Hiroshi Suzuki Ambassador of Japan to India on Thursday met US Ambassador Eric Garcetti and discussed future cooperation of both the nations with India including Quad and G20.

"Japan and India enjoy special relation and partnership, which is indeed both strategic and global. So we are cooperating in many important areas such as defence and security. I give my congratulations to India on assuming the G20 presidency," Suzuki told ANI.
The Japanese envoy expressed his views after visiting the casting yard site in Gujarat's Navsari where the construction of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) Project is taking place.
He even termed Japan and India relations as a special partnership that is both strategic and global in nature. The envoy also expressed delight over the progress after inspecting the site in Gujarat's Navsari.
While talking with ANI, Japan's envoy said that he is happy that India is going to host the Foreign Minister's Meeting which is a very important framework that India and Japan are working together.
