RSS leader Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi on Saturday emphasised that caste should not be a source of division among Hindus and said that caste is merely a concept based on birth at the community centre in Triveni Nagar, Jaipur for the 'Path Sanchalan' organised by the RSS on Vijayadashami.
In a statement, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated, "We have noted with serious concern the attack on a Puja mandap in Tantibazar, Dhaka and the theft at the revered Jeshoreshwari Kali temple at Satkhira."
He also emphasized that being weak is a crime, adding, "If we are weak, we are inviting atrocity. Wherever we are, we need to be united and empowered."
Addressing the annual Vijayadashami programme held at Nagpur, the RSS Chief also called for unity among Hindus citing the example of Bangladesh where he said that for the first time, Hindus united and came out on roads for their protection.
While addressing the event virtually, PM Modi said, "Just yesterday, the election results of Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir were declared. Haryana has told what the mood of the country is. It is historic to be elected for the third consecutive time after completing two terms."
