Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Sunday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for connecting Dharamshala with the country after a new air route was launched from Delhi to Dharamshala.
The Chief Minister participated in nearly 2 km of walking from the Secretariat to his residence at oak-over in Shimla. The other participants completed the 5 km long walk here.
On the occasion of the completion of over 100 days of the Himachal Pradesh Government, CM Sukhu also mentioned that the state government is working towards becoming a zero-tolerant state towards corruption and is also aiming to become the first green energy state in the country.
"Rahul Gandhi has emerged as a strong leader who can challenge the ruling BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls," Sukhu said while condemning the decision to disqualify Rahul Gandhi.
"The matter is sub judice and I will not be able to speak much on it. To raise finger is a political gimmick to target Rahul Gandhi. They (BJP) use different tactics against him but he is not afraid," CM Sukhu said.
In a meeting with senior law and police officials, he said that a Special Task Force would be formed to break the supply chain and take stern action against the drug mafia.
CM Sukhu added that the assertion by Punjab and Haryana that the Himachal government's decision to impose water cess is against the Inter-State River Disputes Act, 1956 is not logical as it does not affect the water released to neighbouring states.
On Twitter, Muhammad Faisal said ABIM also gifted the Dalai Lama with an English translation of the Quran and a copy of the "Islam and Buddhist Eco-Dialogue" book, the Star reported.
Himachal Pradesh, which is ruled by Congress, said that the imposition of water cess does not involve any dispute regarding interstate release of quantum of water as the volume of water to be released to the neighboring state is not being affected
