Western Air Command, IAF on Tuesday recommenced its relief operations in Himachal Pradesh where many areas are havocked by heavy rains. The IAF rescued 150 citizens from various rain-affected areas of the state.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday took stock of the devastation caused by incessant rainfall from all District Magistrates, office of Chief Minister said.
“Around 55 people have lost their lives in the state till now. The death toll might go up. Restoration work is being done on a war footing. Chandigarh-Shimla 4-lane highway along with other arterial roads has been opened," CM Sukhu said.
