As rescue and search operations are underway in the areas affected by the cloudburst that occurred in Rampur's Samej leaving at least 6 people dead, Shimla DC Anupam Kashyap said that 36 people are missing after an incident and one body has been recovered on Sunday.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu chaired the state-level programme organised on the 118th birth anniversary of founder of Himachal Pradesh, Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar, at Vidhan Sabha on Sunday.
To improve traffic management and emergency response across the state, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu flagged off 25 new patrolling vehicles on Sunday.
The Chief Minister further said that some bodies have been recovered and 55 people are still missing, adding that the state government is closely monitoring the situation.

The Indian Army continues its efforts in rescue and restoration in the areas affected by the cloudburst that occurred on Thursday in Rampur's Samej. The Army has established temporary bridges to establish connectivity between areas cut off to facilitate rescue operations.
