With tensions between India and Pakistan de-escalating and the situation returning to normal, tourism in Himachal Pradesh has begun to pick up again. The increasing temperatures in other parts of the country and pleasant weather in the hills are drawing tourists to Himachal Pradesh.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday indirectly attacked Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi over his alleged visit to Pakistan and urged Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi not to include Gogoi's name in such a "sensitive and strategic assignment."
The meeting was convened on Friday to assess the developmental activities undertaken by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) in Assam.
