The Special Task Force (STF) of Assam police on Sunday seized 2.20 kg of heroin worth Rs 18 crore in two separate operations in Hajo of Kamrup district and Guwahati.
According to officials, the action was taken during a raid conducted at the Panditpur area under Lalgola Police Station on the basis of a tip-off received through sources.
Troops of Border Security Force (BSF) and 115 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier seized 3,916 Yaba tablets, 100 grams of Heroin, and an Apache motorcycle near Border Outpost Boyraghat, officials said on Thursday.
"On specific information, alert BSF troops recovered a Pakistani drone (DJI Matrice 300 RTK) on June 22, during morning hours along with 2 kg (appx) suspected heroin near the international border in Jodhawala village of Fazilka district," BSF Punjab Frontier said.
According to the release, BSF troops observed suspicious footmarks near the village Gandhi Kilcha in the Ferozepur district while carrying out area domination patrol and during the search recovered suspected Heroin packets wrapped with yellow adhesive tape.

Samba Police achieved major success and solved the Rangoor firing case within hours after the commission of the offence and arrested three heroin smugglers and recovered 2.080 kg heroin from them, an official statement said.
