Manang Air had previously been involved in another helicopter crash just three months ago, resulting in the tragic loss of five passengers, including its pilot Chet Bahadur Gurung. The earlier accident had occurred in Lamjura Pass, Solukhumbu, and was attributed to adverse weather conditions
The sole occupant, Captain Prakash Sedhai, sustained only minor injuries in the incident. He is being flown to Kathmandu in another helicopter, officials said.
The GCAA confirmed in a statement that during the ongoing search operations since the accident occurred until the present hours, a member of the plane’s crew was found and he passed away as a result of the accident, while the search and rescue operation continues for the other missing pilot.

A search and rescue team comprising Nepal Army and Nepal Police have retrieved all the bodies of victims from a helicopter crash site in Solukhumbu District of Nepal.
"The helicopter has been found at the border of Likhu PK village council and Dudhkunda Municipality-2 commonly called Lamajura Danda. The village has retrieved the five bodies," Koshi Province Police DIG Rajeshnath Bastola told ANI over the phone.
