Telangana has been issued an Orange and yellow warning alert for today and tomorrow. Telangana is likely to receive heavy rainfall in central districts, North and East districts, IMD Hyderabad said on Tuesday.
Director IMD Bhubaneswar H R Biswas said, "A low-pressure area is likely to form over Odisha in the next 24 hrs. Heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning warnings have been issued for several districts."
The restoration has started on the Kalka-Shimla heritage railway line in Summer Hill which was damaged on August 14th due to floods, landslides and heavy rainfall.
A hut near the banks of the Ganga River in the Naugachhia village of Bhagalpur got washed away on Friday due to soil erosion followed by heavy rainfall in the district.
"The rescued individual had got trapped on the Badrinath highway while he was on a trek. He was injured while returning from the trek and was therefore unable to cross the obstructed road," said the official.
"There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in parts of the districts of Solan, Shimla, Sirmaur, Mandi, Kullu, Una, Bilaspur and Kangra. We have issued a yellow alert for 24 and 25 August...," IMD Scientist Sandeep Kumar Sharma said speaking to ANI.
