Amid a nationwide upward trend in the COVID cases, Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya will chair a review meet with the health ministers of all states and Union Territories on Friday afternoon, sources said.
Terming the agreement between the protesting doctors and the Rajasthan government on the 'Right to Health' bill (RTH) as historic, Rajasthan Health Minister Parsadi Lal Meena on Tuesday said that it is the victory of the people of the state.
Health Minister Tanaji Sawant on Tuesday informed that the state will be conduction a mock drill on 13-14th April following surge in Covid cases in the state. "As suggested by central government, we are going to hold a mock drill for our Covid preparedness in the state on 13-14th April."
"We need to remain alert but there is no need to worry. Currently, the sub-variant of Omicron which is circulating in the country hasn't increased hospitalisations," Mandaviya said.
In view of the increasing Covid-19 infections in many states of the country, the scope of testing and vaccination will be increased in Uttarakhand, State Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said on Monday.
In the wake of rising COVID cases in India, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday said that Omicron's sub-variant which is circulating in the country has not led to the increase in hospitalisations and there is no need to worry.
