On the occasion of World Health Day, the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare organised a walkathon event in New Delhi. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya along with Bharti Pravin Pawar, Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, led the walkathon.
Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Dhani Ram Shandil along with Health Department and National Health Mission officials on Friday participated in the meeting, chaired by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.
"On the occasion of World Health Day, I wish for the health of the whole world. The concept of Vasudev Kutumbakam is our heritage and in this series, the country is fulfilling its responsibility for the world in the health sector under the leadership of Modi ji," Mandaviya said.
"We need to remain alert but there is no need to worry. Currently, the sub-variant of Omicron which is circulating in the country hasn't increased hospitalisations," Mandaviya said.
In the wake of rising COVID cases in India, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday said that Omicron's sub-variant which is circulating in the country has not led to the increase in hospitalisations and there is no need to worry.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandviya on Friday virtually laid the foundation stone of 4 health projects in Dehradun which includes 500 bedded Hospital at New Block in Doon Medical College, Dehradun, and three 50 bedded Critical Care Blocks at Rudraprayag, Nainital and Srinagar.

Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya while virtually addressing the event said that digital health is a great enabler in the delivery of healthcare services and has the potential to support overall universal health coverage targets.
Recently, the Union health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya held a meeting with around 62 well-known charity private hospitals which have not started medical education.
The two-day meet is organised with the aim to build trust and confidence in the quality of drugs, cosmetics, and medical devices in domestic and export markets.
The two day "Chintan Shivir" on "Drugs: Quality regulation and Enforcement" will be organised by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on February 26 and 27 at Kanha Shanti Vanam in Hyderabad.
