The Delhi High Court on Tuesday dismissed the bail plea of businessman Arvind Dham, an accused in a money laundering case related to an alleged multi-thousand-crore bank fraud.
The case pertains to alleged irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy. Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and others are also accused in the matter.
"Cost of Rs. 10 lakh is imposed upon the petitioner, Azad Market RWA (Regd.), through its General Secretary Mr Anil Lodhi, to be paid within a period of six weeks, from today," Justice Mini Pushkarna said in the order passed on August 7.
The case stemmed from a reference dated April 2, 2025, submitted by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), West District, who reported that the two individuals had verbally abused the court and the complainant during sentencing in State vs. Davinder Kumar.
