The Delhi High Court on Tuesday granted bail to Pooja Singh, said to be a close aide of jailed Leena Maria Paul, wife of conman Sukesh Chandrashekar, in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case.
The Delhi High Court on Monday granted bail to a man, accused of raping his minor daughter noting the delay in lodging the FIR and the matrimonial dispute and cross cases with his wife.
Justice Ganju said, "It is settled law that the bail should not normally be withheld if after taking other factors into consideration, an accused is entitled to bail."
Sharma was arrested in the case in June 2021 and in judicial custody had sought interim bail on humanitarian grounds. Sharma said that his wife has developed serious complications after surgery and her condition was deteriorating with each passing day.
