Several areas of the city are under water as the water level of River Yamuna rose following heavy rainfall and the release of water from the Hathnikund Barrage in neighbouring Haryana.
Taking to Twitter, the Department of Information and Public Relations, said that as per Central Water Commission (CWC) guidelines, water with a flow of over 1 lakh cusecs can not be discharged into Western Yamuna and Eastern Yamuna Canal.
