Thousands of people on Thursday participated in the 'Hassan Chalo' protest organised by the Union of Karnataka People's Movement in Hassan district, demanding the arrest of suspended Janata Dal (Secular) MP Prajwal Revanna in connection with the alleged obscene video case.
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar appealed to Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday to visit Hassan district and meet the victims of the alleged obscene video case amid the latter's ongoing electioneering in the state.
"The government has decided to form a special investigation team in connection with Prajwal Revanna's obscene video case. Obscene video clips are circulating in Hassan district, where it appears that women have been sexually assaulted," Siddaramaiah posted on X on Saturday.
