Sri Lanka on Tuesday named their 15-player squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup on Tuesday with star all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga missing out from the squad.
Sri Lanka medical panel head Arjuna de Silva gave an update on Wanindu Hasarang and said that the team management is currently consulting foreign doctors.
The chairperson of the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) medical committee Arjuna de Silva said that "medically it seems unlikely that Wanindu will be fit" for much of the duration of the marquee tournament.
"I do not think there is something like an advantage or disadvantage. Once you get to India, you know how batting-friendly wickets are. There is a good chance for all the teams. India got a better chance, because they know the conditions well, the calibre of players is also good," said Shana
