The Israel Defence Force (IDF) has called on the residents of central Gaza's Bureij town to move to the south and head for shelters in Deir al-Balah as they plan to expand the military's ground offensive, The Times of Israel reported.
In the central Gaza village of Jahar al-Dikh, troops located a Hamas weapons warehouse. Soldiers also spotted rocket launchers that had been used to fire rockets at Israel in previous days. The launchers were destroyed in an airstrike.
In a statement, the IDF said the 36th Division has completed dismantling Hamas' "core capabilities" in Shejaiya. The IDF further said troops will continue to carry out limited operations in the neighbourhood to destroy Hamas infrastructure and kill any operatives still hiding.
