Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday departed for his five-day visit to Nigeria, Brazil and Guyana, a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs said.
The President said that there is a need to further diversify our bilateral trade basket. There is also immense potential to improve collaboration in the fields of Ayurveda, bio-fuels, and agriculture, especially in millets.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday called on Guyana's Prime Minister Brigadier (Ret'd) Mark Phillips and discussed partnerships in the fields of economy, energy, security and development cooperation.
Taking to X, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal shared about PM Phillips arrival, saying, "PM Mark Phillips of Guyana arrives to a warm welcome in New Delhi. The visit will further strengthen our multifaceted relationship and unique people-to-people linkages that we share."
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Jaishankar said, "Glad to call on Prime Minister Mark Phillips of Guyana. Discussed energy, disaster resilience and preparedness and defence cooperation. India will partner with Guyana in its developmental journey."
