An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Chak Tapper Kreeri Pattan area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Friday night.
According to Indian Army officials, "Four Indian Army soldiers have been injured in the ongoing encounter with terrorists in Kishtwar. One of the injured has been evacuated to the nearby Command Hospital for treatment, while three are being treated locally."
A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) inspector was killed during an intense gunfight with terrorists in the Cheel and Dudu regions of Udhampur district on August 19.
The terrorists opened fire at a joint checkpoint of the Indian Army and Jammu-Kashmir Police in Bhaderwah town in the Doda district. Following the gunfight, the security forces launched a search operation.
Sharing details of the ongoing exchange of fire, a police officer informed that a joint security team from the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Special Task Force (STF) were involved in the operation.

Soldiers from a reserve battalion were shot at from a house in the village and returned fire, eliminating the terrorists. One soldier was moderately wounded during the gun battle.
