DC Police Department said that a black sedan, possibly a Mercedes, drove through the neighbourhood and opened fire on a group of men indiscriminately, WUSA reported.
The gunman was shot and killed by police officers who were responding to the scene, according to Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel, the interim chief of the Louisville Metro Police Department.
On Monday morning, at least five people were killed and six others were injured in a shooting at a bank in downtown Louisville (local time), the police said, according to New York Times.
The attack started at about 5 pm (1100 GMT), in Khiri Rat Nikhom district in Surat Thani province -- roughly 600 km (370 miles) south of the capital Bangkok, reported New Straits Times.
An active shooter has been reported on campus at the University of Oklahoma in the city of Norman on Saturday (local time), the school said in a tweet.
The 28-year-old Nashville school shooter, who killed at least 7 students and three adults in the US on Monday was identified as transgender. The shooter reportedly had a detailed manifesto and maps to attack the school, CNN reported citing the Nashville police.
