Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the next of kin of each of those who lost their lives after a cable bridge collapsed in Gujarat's Morbi with several feared dead.
PM Modi has asked Gujarat Chief Minister for close monitoring of the situation and delivery of all possible help to the affected persons after cable bridge collapse in Gujarat's Morbi .
On this occasion, Modi said that this is our government's clear vision to make India Aatmnirbhar, especially in Defence Sector. "For this, we have taken many steps. The aircraft manufacturing facility in Vadodara is India's giant leap towards becoming self-reliant in the aviation sector."
"As pollution rises, CM Arvind Kejriwal should have stayed in Delhi to prepare for Chhath Puja. Instead, he is touring Gujarat as he does not want to facilitate devotees here," said Manoj Tiwari.
Christian Scherer, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) on Sunday highligted India's huge business potential on the sidelines of the foundation stone laying ceremony of the C-295 transport aircraft manufacturing facility in Gujarat's Vadodara.
Apart from making 40 aircraft, this facility at Vadodara would be manufacturing additional aircraft for Air Force requirements and exports, as per Defence Secretary Aramane Giridhar.
