Several incidents of violence marred the pre-election atmosphere in Balochistan and Karachi as multiple hand grenade attacks and explosions targeted political entities and election-related offices.
The Pakistan-based news daily reported that several police stations and deputy commissioners' offices were targeted in the attacks in which six people, including a police officer and a jail warden, were injured.
The SHO said the injured persons have been identified as Ghulam Mohiuddin and Abdul Aziz Shami and that they were initially shifted to the DHQ Hospital in the area for medical treatment.

The recovery, a result of continued efforts following the intense heat on terrorists, previously leading to the recovery of a cache in the Darhal area, includes pistols, magazines loaded with ammunition, hand grenades, and various administrative materials.
Four remote IEDs (improvised explosive devices), six UBGL (Under Barrel Grenade Launcher) grenades, five detonators, four fuses, two small box packages and other unnamed items were recovered from the area.
