The Deputy Chief Minister stated that all five corporate offices would be built following a uniform architectural design, and a prize of Rs 5 lakh has been announced for the best design. "We have also invited logo designs for the GBA," he added.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday announced the implementation of the Greater Bengaluru Governance Act, replacing the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) with the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA).
Replying to the Council members who raised some concerns on the Bill, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, who also holds the Bengaluru Development portfolio, said, "The Opposition members have given good suggestions. We are trying to lay a foundation for the future Bengaluru City like Kempe
"This bill is in the interest of the people of Bengaluru. This bill is in interest of governance, administration, investments, employment," the Minister told reporters.
The Bill proposed a Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) headed by the Chief Minister Siddaramiah. The bill stated that GBA would have administrative, planning and executive powers over the city.
